The *Historia Plantarum Universalis* (1650–1651) represents the first treatise of international scope dedicated to flora, presenting detailed descriptions of over 5,000 plant species. This work bears witness to the remarkable advances in botanical knowledge achieved during the 16th century and is primarily the result of the scientific efforts of Johann Bauhin—a distinguished Swiss physician and botanist renowned, in particular, for his fundamental contributions to plant classification.
