How to consult the Palatine Library
More than 14,000 volumes of great value and first editions
Description
The volumes of the Library are still located in the museum rooms of the Palatine Library of the Royal Palace of Caserta.
Also for this reason the volumes can be requested to be consulted only and exclusively by reservation, and only if this request is accompanied by:
- valid reasons for scientific research;
- your reseme;
- copy of your identity card;
- description of the reason for you request;
- description of the research project;
- application form filled out.
All documentation must be sent to re-ce.bibliotecapalatina@cultura.gov.it
In the absence of even part of the requirements, the request will not be accepted.

How to consult the Historical Archive
More than 10,000 archive folders from the 15th to the 20th century

Description
The Historical Archive of the Royal Palace of Caserta was created by King Ferdinand IV of Bourbon on May 25, 1784, and tells in detail not only the entire history of the Royal Palace of Caserta and the Bourbons, but also that from 1400 until about 1950. It contains over 10,000 archival folders spanning over six centuries – from the 15th to the mid-20th century.
