The Statute of San Leucio

Full title:Origin of the population of S. Leucio and its history up to today's glory with the laws corresponding to the good governance of it by Ferdinand IV. King of the Sicilies.

The Statute of San Leucio is the code of laws wanted by King Ferdinand IV of Bourbon, and in which, among the many laws, for the first time equality between men and women was decreed. It spread all over the world giving rise to Socialism and the Code of Human Rights of the French Revolution.
